The library has been awarded a Military laptop grant. The specific purpose of this laptop is to give military family’s the opportunity to communicate with their loved one via Skype. The military family can be from our community of just passing through. The laptop may also be used by the public but military families have priority.
We have set the laptop up in the library’s reference room allowing everyone more privacy to visit with family or for anyone doing genealogy etc.

The Walhalla Public Library is located at 1010 Central Avenue, Walhalla N.D. We are open to the public Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays from noon to 7 p.m. Some of the services we offer are public computers, wireless internet, microfilms of “The Walhalla Mountaineer” and a few other area newspapers. We have a North Dakota room that contains family history books. We also have an extensive Walhalla history library which includes cemetery records, scrapbooks and much more. Our Children’s section has a beautiful mural painted by the Brush Bunch a local art group. We have a great selection of fiction, non-fiction, resource books, DVD and VCR tapes may be checked out for up to three weeks. ODIN allows us access to library’s across the state so we can check out books for our patrons, that are not available in this library.
